I'm not a breeder, I just own 4 house geckos, but I wanted to point out somethings I do with regards to the "dixie cups." Where I got my geckos and my first few sets of crickets, they use this little plastic tubs that range between 1 cup and 1 pint. The tops have 1cm holes gut in them with a metal mesh screen (just like on the cage) attached.

I cut a small hole in the largest container big enough to fit an air hose through. Since my geckos like humidity I fill the tub with filtered water, and put an air stone with an airline to a compressor in it. I then hide it in my habitat making a nice mutli-level enclosure for the geckos. I have a waterfall feature which works fine during the night, but the tub is needed during the day to supplement the waterfall. The tub lasts about 3-4 weeks before needing a refill, and by putting some shaded rocks on part of the lid, there is plenty of moisture on the rocks for the geckos to drink even if I didn't mist the enclosure.

I also reuse the tubs, I have a cricket keeper for the main portion of their food, but whenever I walk to the store for feeder supplies, I also get a small amount of wax-worms for some variety, and I reuse one of the tubs for them.

The remaining tubs are labeled and are great for bringing filtered water for the waterfall and humidifier, cleaning solutions, and other needs without the worry of cross contamination.
